What is seamoss?

Sea Moss or Irish Moss is a type of red algae that grows on the Atlantic coastlines of North America, Europe, and the Caribbean Islands. In nature, it generally shows off a deep purple or brown color, but when it is air-dried it usually turns yellow or green.

What are the benefits?

Sea Moss, also known as Irish Moss, contains 92 of 102 essential minerals for the human body.  It is an excellent source of iodine, minerals, protein and potassium chloride, a nutrient which helps to dissolve inflammation and phlegm in the mucus membranes, which makes it ideal for respiratory issues.  Other key elements include sulphur compounds, bromine, beta-carotene, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium, zinc, pectin, Vitamins C, B, B12, K and A.
